Paul would win the back and forth encounter in the fifth round when Deji’s corner threw in the towel to end the fight. After his amateur victory, Paul would go professional and make his debut on 21 December 2019 against AnEsonGib. Paul dominated Gib and ended the match in the first round via TKO.

Paul fought his second professional fight against former American basketball player Nate Robinson on 28 November 2020. Paul would win the bout via TKO in the second round. In March 2021, Paul faced Ben Askren. Paul would win the fight in a controversial early stoppage. Later that year, Paul fought Woodley in his first challenging fight. Paul would almost get knocked down in the bout got saved by the ropes. Paul would secure a split decision victory and extend his boxing record to 4-0.

Jake Paul fought Tyron Woodley in a boxing match on 17 April 2021. Paul would outstrike the UFC veteran as he landed more jabs (35-11) and more body shots(22-6).
