Paulina Bucka says she’s a newsie who fell into the industry but actually fell in love with the way I’ve been able to connect and tell peoples’ stories. That is one of the many things she talks about on her new podcast “And that’s okay.”
Bucka moved to the Capital Region this spring, joined the morning team at WNYT anchoring alongside Subrina Dhammi and left the station four months later (she talks about why she left here).
Since her departure from TV news, the journalist has been working on a podcast. She came up with the idea for the program about five years ago when living and working in Louisiana.
The timing wasn’t right, she says, but now it is.
“And that’s okay” looks at mental health. It focuses on the curveballs life throws at you and having to make them “okay.” Bucka speaks candidly about her father’s death by suicide, an abusive relationship she was in, her career and more.
