According to the Lexington County Sheriff’s Office statement, Thomas has been charged with murder, kidnapping, and first-degree burglary in connection with Jessica’s disappearance.
According to county inmate records, the 61-year-old man is being held in the Wake County Detention Center in Raleigh on no bond.
Thomas has a court date on Friday, and he will be prosecuted by the South Carolina Attorney General’s Office.
