The project’s 10,000-strong following on chat app Discord gives the NFT collection a predicted value of $5.7million, reports News.com.au.
‘I’m so overwhelmed, I already had somewhat good expectations but I didn’t think it would blow up straight away,’ Vanessa, 27, told the website.
‘I think I just got lucky – in Dubai, a lot of people do these types of projects, and I happened to be friends with people who guided me in the right direction.’
Interest: Dubai-based Vanessa’s Smol Boyz is a collection of 9999 unique NFTs which are hand drawn by artists, with the project set to launch in February
NFTs – or non-fungible tokens – refer to data stored on a blockchain where each token is uniquely identifiable, which is how it differs from cryptocurrency.
Types of NFT data units may be associated with digital files such as photos, videos, and audio, making them an exciting opportunity for artists.
